Until we meet again

Goodbye my sweet love,
Until we meet again,
If I should be granted this one wish,
Know that my love still lies deep within,
It was a world of happiness, we both sought,
A doubtless love, not yet restrained,
This burden presented itself,
While fearful of your silence,
Unbeknownst to me,
Competing for your heart,
Carefully I would always tread,
Love poetry would be written,
Only to blind eyes it was read,
So goodbye my sweet love,
Until we meet again,
My heart will always remain open,
For it be only well wishes I send.

Not a typical rhyming poem from me this time. Although this is a little sad, I hope you still enjoy.

Beautiful. I tend to write free verse or free form which doesn't necessarily have to have a rhyme scheme.
"My heart will always remain open,
For it be only well wishes I send. "
This is true for me. I will always leave a place open for that love who left me, and I can only send my wish for his eyes to return.

It's hard knowing we will say goodbye to everyone and everything we know one day. It's possibly the most difficult thing to say goodbye forever. Great job with this piece!

This was hard to read for me due to the delicate, powerful words you used. It was hard because it was sad and it made me cry. It's just that, its sad to know but it's hard to say goodbye forever, it's really hard...
