Moonlight Dance

Moonlight Dance

A Poem by Paul

So full of promise,
Right from first glance,
The casting of shadows,
That made the moonlight dance,

An evening of balmy tropic breeze,
And a thunderous dark sky,
No words need spoken,
It would not be the last good-bye

Only our hearts to guide us,
Separate lives divided by the sea,
The deepest part of our souls remain open,
Never faded by degrees,

A gift that was given that night,
From up above the clouds,
Having never felt this way,
Always surrounded by crowds,

The distance has been overcome,
Standing tall without measure or fear,
On this path we've chosen,
This sunset horizon looks all so clear.

my pleasure
I enjoyed the phrase and view of "moonlight dance". Nice flow and a calming sound that true love makes in the hearts of those involved. Beautiful.

Great imagery and synesthesia here. I especially liked the second stanza with the "balmy tropic breeze". The poem is relatable for anyone who has been in a long distance relationship, and it is beautifully written.
