Wait for me my daddy

this poem was really hard for me to post. I wrote this when i was in a dark place suffering from depression. We were expecting a baby and this is a realisation of the sadness id leave behind.

Please wait for me my daddy,
Ive got so much i want to say,
I feel your cuddles every night,
I hear you talking every day.

Please think about me daddy,
And the love that we will share,
When you can teach me right from wrong,
And protect me by being there.

Please wait for me my daddy,
So you can wipe my teary eye,
And hold me tight on a stormy night,
And Sing me a lullaby.

I know you feel sad my daddy,
But please remember that soon will pass.
And soon i will be with you,
To make the sunshine last.
Ill need your kisses and your cuddles,
To help me grow to be,
Anything i set my heart to,
With my daddy next to me.

Wow Paul, mate... this is hard to read so I can - fractionally understand how hard it was to post. I admire that you did.

i love it very much... It is touchy and descriptive. Without reading the comment you wrote at first, I could understand it was a baby not born yet talking and after reading the little comment you wrote on top,I was happy to know I was right and that means you were very clear to send your message to the readers.

The father figure is important for the child. It gives the feeling of security and happiness. A complete development needs both mother and father. Single parent has a very hard job, but people need to understand to have a good society, children needs both sides to develop wisely and psychologically stable...

I blame parents who dont think of the consequences before having a baby, thinking it is an easy job or after bringing one, actually regretting the idea and letting go of their children.

I also blame reckless teenagers who have sex and bring to the world a baby to suffer their stupid act!
