Crowded emptinessA Poem by Paul williams
She doesnt realise i sleep so much
Because sometimes i dont want to wake up. I love you more than life itself, But in sleep there are no break ups. Cant seem to hide the sadness under this plastic smile of mine. Looks likes shes recognised my disguise. Im living in a crowded place where loneliness is taking over. Im closing my eyes to speak to the angel on my shoulder. Sometimes the sunlight shines in my eyes and burns my skin, Sometimes its rays just cannot find their way in. I cannot help the way i feel about my now, Only memories control emotions in me. Now and again im back on stage, with no cause for dramas. Then up it comes to have its way faster or calmer. Running in dreams is how it seems to take control. I wish i knew the reason, Of my saddened soul. Im still yours to have for life If youll still have me Ill wear my smile again soon As soon as ive found me. I swear ill find me I hope youll stand with me. Im living in a crowded place where loneliness is taking over. Im closing my eyes to speak to the angel on my shoulder. © 2014 Paul williamsAuthor's Note
