Leaving behind...

Leaving behind...

A Poem by Pauline

Leaving behind the ‘future fakers’

Preaching political religions to

birch-white faces clouded eyes

I walk

Away from hustle and bustle

To the freedom of the hills

Away from the realm of the disillusioned

I walk

Draining the ignorance that this cracked world

has steeped me in

Away from the black suited foxes

That slowly eat our brains with a smile

On their over indulged faces

I walk

Away from constant demands

(Arguing the toss is not allowed)

My mind full to the brim with

Channel boaters one too many

Cell block H and back-stabbers

Winos whining

Light fingered bozoes

Trigger fingered gang bangers

Overcrowding is rife

Prisons are being emptied

Soon to fill up again with rioters

Fuel gone over the top

No heat for Pensioners

Skint is the new word on the block

I walk

The brain forcing loaded dirty deeds

Through its already overloaded colander

I walk wondering

Will my toes start leaking garbage

About
I've been writing poetry for some time now. It allows me to escape some of the doldrums of life. I also paint when life allows me some quiet time. I wouldn't say I was great at either passtimes but I.. more..
