The Inner ChildA Poem by Pauline
My sweet child, how you crave acknowledgement. You; heart of my childhood, you that is me. You, that danced the dance of the innocent, Full of melodious joy and carefree. Such dreams you gathered, stored for adulthood, exotic files of wild imaginings. How the parents smiled, how they understood and your defiant stance, so challenging. Come child. Take me from this garden of mist, dry these seething oceans that are my eyes; rid my aching heart of this weight-some schist, let us taste again those dreams in summer skies. Come, take my hand and let us quantum leap to that inner world, where wonders fast reap. © 2022 PaulineReviews
