In The Silence of DawnA Poem by PaulineCouldn't find where to place this poem in the Genre box heIn the silence of dawn Where regrets lay forgotten And the perfumed smell of moss Wafts through the window Caressing the senses Hands touch. In the rising of the sun When newborn hopes vibrate When trees whisper of mysteries And unknown souls tremble Voices of silence heard Arms cradle. ‘Tis then that thunder starts to blast Out loud Beethoven’s symphony Cymbals clash to cello’s base Then lightning’s laser lights give chase To thunder’s timpani And as the crimson light begins to prance Two lovers join the rhythmic dance. © 2022 PaulineAuthor's Note
