A Poem by Pauline

Here, in this rocky cavity,

shielded from the western wind

I watch you as you lay sleeping

 Dreaming your coloured dreams

The peace that I’ve craved so long

Washes over me and I know

That to love you is to live in beauty.

Therefore, I dedicate to you my sweetest thoughts.

Thoughts that are too deep to release

But oh how the days fly by my love

Subtracting as they go

Taking with them the joy that

Clothes our crimson hearts

So let us grasp each moment

Though… when destiny comes calling

It will be but a short departure

For love never dies

It merely waits in the wings

I really like the joy clothing the crimson hearts.
Yes, a short departure....parents were married 70 years and they are together again, somewhere, I am sure of it.
