A New MorningA Poem by PaulineA new morning The world recreated Washed clean by the dawn rain White puffball clouds scurry Marched onward by the breeze In regimental mood Dappled sunlight Filters through a Canopy of whispering leaves Heady scents of sage, rosemary Pervade the nostrils As the eye begins to scan The valley’s sculptured quilt Of green and gold Building and reaching ripeness Summer time Peaceful - soothing And every stream’s Lilting tune Is a prayer answered. © 2021 PaulineReviews
