A Poem by Pauline

Here

On this warm afternoon

All was silent

Clouds wandered (like sheep)

Above a blue meadow where

Grass bathed like a green ocean

And the sun rested its golden rays

A small lavender butterfly kissed my cheek

And it was then that I sensed your nearness

Sensed what heaven smells like

Sensed what heaven feels like

Felt its warmth, like a sunbeam inside

Your proof that death does not exist

You are here and I love you.

About
I've been writing poetry for some time now. It allows me to escape some of the doldrums of life. I also paint when life allows me some quiet time. I wouldn't say I was great at either passtimes but I.. more..
