Anniversary

I wrote this for my grandparents final anniversary. A few weeks later, my grandfather died of cancer.

The love between two people is,

                      a very special thing.

The love that is symbolized,

                      by each lovers ring.

But the ring is not enough,

                      to symbolize so much.

Like the things you feel,

                      at each other's touch.

You two have shown that,

                      throughout the joy and the tears,

That your love will survive,

                      throughout very many years.

So we wish you a Happy Anniversary,

                      for your special day,

And we wait for the New World,

                      where your happiness will,

                                  forever stay.
