A Time To Love

A Time To Love

A Poem by Pauline Marie Daley

I feel as if the words will burst from me,

If I don't tell you this, you see.

Standing by you, close as two people could be,

But having to wait an eternity,

To tell you that I love you.

My hands hang lightly in yours,

From my eyes my life itself pours,

From your smile I myself soar,

In my heart my love for you stores,

Until I can tell you that I love you.

Your touch is my greatest delight,

Watching with you the stars of the night.

Being with you aids my flight,

Hearing your voice so happy and light.

Now may I tell you that I love you?

Ok.... I really liked this one a whole lot. This is what was inspired.

If I lay here
Looking upon your creation
The words flow

Standing close by you
You don't feel me
But you see the one you love

The universe above you
Chases the shadows of midnight
Walking hand in hand
With the one you love

As he looks beyond the table
He sees the sparkle of candle light
Dancing in the iris of your eyes

No longer lonely
You hold each other
Upon open arms

A whisper heard
In the corridors
Of your mind

A sweet gentle kiss
Falls within
A memory of love
A time to love
Everlasting
Beyond
The other side of midnight
