Sparkles of Love

Sparkles of Love

A Poem by Pauline Marie Daley

A glance upward on a clear, blue night.

Brought to me an incredible sight.

Simple words cannot express,

The way I felt myself regress,

Into this little planet we call earth.

Seeing it, gave life a new birth.

A dark blue canvas laid our above,

Held stars that gleamed of hope and love.

I caught their light with my eyes,

And held it as a glorious prize.

Each sparkle of love shined so bright.

And spread themselves across the night.

This beautious thing I held so dear,

Was away very far, but seemed so near.

Wishing the heavens were mine to soar,

Until my arms grew weak and could fly no more.

Then I would lay on the grass below,
And watch hte heaven's wonderous show.

Stars flying across the clouds,

The moon taking an elegant bow.

Sparkles of love sharing their grace,

Feeling their light shine over my face.

But they are beyond you or me,

And across the world they do see.

Their love goes from you to me,

And we share their love for eternity.
