The Score of Life

The Score of Life

A Poem by Pauline Marie Daley

Candles burning brightly

Shining on faces of friends,

Guitars strumming lightly

Wishing this never ends.

Songs go round and round,

Laughter floats and flies,

Beautiful notes sound,

As life around them dies.

A single note simple and pure

Fills our soul with glee.

Anything that note could cure,

Bringing us the world to see.

Flying on musical wings,

Watching worlds soar by.

As each one of us sings,

Life's little lullaby.

Stars shine as bright as day,

Flowers flee from the trees above.

Across our faces fire plays.

Voices ring of the songs of love.

Living life my music's notes.

Running thruogh a socre,

With happiness music coats,

Our lives ever more.
