"what is a poet"

at a writer's workshop writing and reading outloud what I wrote somebody says "you're a poet does that make you feel better?"

as a child somebody says you can read a poem in the auditorium then somebody says no you can't do that because you say poem

there was something about the pronunciation of that very word.

there was music playing and the sky with the stars was seen outside through a window with tears

this was just crying it was making a difference 

if I could write it down how to describe this a poem is supposed to use a few words in a certain way to explain such things how can it be written without knowing how

going into a room finding a book with a poem study the number of sounds in each line and write "The Unshed Tears"
