somebody wants to put my words

to

music

I'm a musician

you're a writer

do you always write 

like

this

is true all across her wide range of language

from

cafeful observation and dissonant lines

to child-like nursery rhymes

linguistic variety in her work

is an exercise of boldness and courage

a signature

quality of her work is her interest

in being honest

to

the moment

combined with an eye for the surreal

and for the paranatural

this becomes eye-opening

in her poems

the songs of birds

are a language--science and intuition

both

tell us

she is correct

I'm not being critical

I'm helping you

imorove

what is remarkable about her writing

is that this fact isn't a mention

but a reality

that weaves through her poems

her undeviating awareness of the moment

is nearly singular

I know of only one other

poet

who has this 

uncomplicated delicate and adroit ability

fidelity to the moment

also means fidelity to emotion and to perception
