Red OceanicA Poem by Paul VeloraShe sits on the shoreline and stares out at the sea A lonely romantic who's waiting for me She's brighter than the moon there in the night Among the dark blue coating she's orange light The ocean is pleasant and lonely Her tune is rustic and groaning Like a madrigal cat all important Making its way to the border Though I may not touch her lips I'd dance as if she had legs to step Entertaining her from the shoreline I'd sing to her as if she were mine And although I've never known her You wouldnt break my grandeur A lifetime of pleasant tone and fancy We two could have been romancing She sits on the shoreline and stares out at the sea A lonely romantic who's waiting for me She's brighter than the moon there in the night Among the dark blue coating she's orange light © 2024 Paul VeloraAuthor's Note
