Locked In Sanity

Locked In Sanity

A Poem by Paul Pisacane

Can you see me locked in sanity
Moving on from where I went wrong
Can you feel your youth just breaking
From a hope that's been dead for so long

Father once told me not to worry
But then I tried to think on my own
Mother said "Son, you have to hurry
To grow up and find a new home"

Now I find myself wondering
If there's a place somewhere for me
Maybe one day I'll stop wandering
And settle where it's meant to be

Until the day I lose my fear
I'll live inside my little grave
Hoping somebody will come here
And together we'll hide away
