This is the journey of life, the unknown, unexpected; we all have to take this train, whether we want to or not; as it leads us to our final resting place; a one-way ticket; As you ride, you will reflect on your entire life, plenty of time to remember the good, the bad the ugly; all your questions throughout your life will be answered. Some will not care, others will "despair". A well put together poem with complexities- questions and answers and the unknown, well rhymed too. Fondly, Betty

Hopefully the train won't depart for a long, long time. Mind you, in Britain they never depart.
This is a real surprise, Paul! I wasn't expecting such a free flowing write of rhyme from you! This reads wonderfully well and your general idea is very original. We are all riding that death train and the journey is all one way. There will be a few stops along the way, hopefully no train wreck, and we'll all get our answers at the end of the journey. Metaphor for life, i guess. The destination is just unknown, as is the time of our own arrival. It's a fascinating idea! Much enjoyed, this one!

She wore blue tights on the Monday.
Tuesday it was green.
Bright orange on the Wednesday.
Thursday it was cream.
I predicted black for the Friday.
She wore trousers.
Hate that girl.
for me, the death here is a metaphor for caring...apathy will take over slowly as so many feel hopeless with the state of the world today....most of my students pay no attention to the news these days. Some admit they just don't care, some are just too frustrated and feel things will never get better anyway, so they live in their world of texting and headsets with music blaring...blocking out the world.
It is a sad state we are in today...And when that clock does strike three...where will we be?
