The way you wrote it is so spot on. Death comes naturally to some. It’s their blessed release after they’re done torturing and being tortured.
Some people are just wired to die sooner or later and there’s naught you can do about it. Spot on. They were always dead though once living. They die everyday. The living dead. Zombies.

Strangely, this doesn't feel like a dark read to me. It feels like a snarky spoof of those pathetic souls who engage in the sensationalism of suicide threats mostly for attention . . . & I differentiate the ones genuinely suicidal & who off themselves without anyone close realizing how dire. In your poem, it feels like this person cried "wolf" & wasn't getting the desired attention, so he/she slowly descended into more & more dire acting-out until actual suicide was the only ploy remaining. I wonder if it's ME or YOUR WORDS being cynical here . . . the way you write this kind of ditty makes it hard for me to read it in a deep & caring way . . . instead I feel a bit of scorn & distance when I read something like this!??! I sometimes think we battle against ourselves, and that never ever leaves a winner.

yeah , thts absolutely right Paul, i agree with you totally.
Paul, this poem reminded me of Sylvia Plath’s writing and Virginia Woolf, too. It seems some are in love with the thought of suicide. I’ve been told by therapists (I’ve had three friends commit suicide) that it’s a pain nobody knows until they experience it. It seems an obsession for some, either in writing or practice. I think you’ve captured the essence of suicide in this poem. It’s permanent solution to a temporary problem, the still living say. But, what would the dead say?

Suicide isn't so easy. You must reach a dead-end. I stood near the dead-end often. Powerful words and thoughts shared Paul.
