The guy with the flowers and the milk tray So sorry, she’s having an affair With me I’m your friend too Strange the things we do Just sort of happened You would understand if it wasn’t you We should end it, walk away Start another day We wont Not till all the cards are played We know the end The hurt, the betrayal The words they say You, they hate the most Now the ghost Doors are closed Family walk away Strange, the marriage stronger than ever now I did that Self congratulations as I walk away Yet I don't see the gratitude coming my way.
This is a strong dose of honest observation. I’ve been inside this puzzle, seeing it from a number of different directions, at different times in my life . . . & I can assure you, you NAILED IT! There are so many truths, I can’t name them all. In particular, I’ve been a friend to dozens of married men thru-out my life (with or without sex) & my involvement has helped the guy come alive, which in turn has helped his marriage come alive. But of course, I’ll always be the hated b***h & I accept that. Nobody wants to think their marriage needs that kind of help (not talking about sex now). This is so damn good, I wish I could put my own experiences in words the way you put my experiences in words! *smile* Fondly, Margie

it's a tough life, Margie.
I just think it saves them going to marriage counselling.
Tis precisely wot happens on occasions such as this... in stating that, and on significant and sustained reflection, I sincerely hope, this poem of yours gives some insight into your sense of humour and not your personal present state of affairs.........................Neville
