Mr and Mrs Smith.

Mr and Mrs Smith.

A Poem by Paul Bell

That poignant moment when we meet
Like long lost friends
So discreet
You look good together
Why do you need me
Is he blind
Is it me
We play the game
It’s nothing new
Hotels are full of Smiths
Like me and you
I should move on
You should too
You look good together
Him and you
We plan the next
Somewhere new
Mr and Mrs rendezvous
She’s sleeping now
I gaze her naked way
Thinking to myself
Someday
Turning to hide his shame
The woman with his brothers name.

And you definitely don't want the firm pillows, which can be delivered like immediately.

Ok Mrs Smith. I'm just in the process of ending my contract with the other Mrs Smith.
How do these things happen? I guess we just can't control some things. Sin takes its course sometimes so what if its a different Adam and Eve. Loved this twisted read.

Yeah, it all started with Adam and Eve.
Fred? :D
Seriously though, a recipe for disaster if ever there was one!

Some disasters take time to happen.
sometimes passion strikes hardest when it is a taboo situation...we want what we can't have...and then have it anyway...the force much too strong to resist.

Yeah, the walls can only come crumbling down.
the stuff of Hollywood and tabloids ...to our shame ...happens all the time ...the clarity of a poor choice for both is what appeals to me the most in your poem ... it is smooth and has easy to see imagery for me ..but it is so very sad when these destructive choices are made :((( i think it adds to war and hate karma. powerful poem for me Paul

Thanks Gee. Now i'm saying, Chubby Chequer chuffed in fast motion. lol
Heavy! Eloquently penned memoir? Fantasy? Fiction? In any case, elegantly presented with a complex and surprising twist at the end...stunning.
