A Starry Sky.

A Starry Sky.

A Poem by Paul Bell

It was the less I could do
Words spurted out

like the girl's vomit on the floor

Vomit words

Stinky words

A mirror written with red lipstick

Live, Love, Laugh

I swear I could see these words

formed in the vomit

A screaming father

A weeping mother

An eyeless child

A starry sky

A dog licking its wound

A homeless rotting away

Under the starry sky

Monday to Sunday the same thing

Same routine

She bangs her head on the wall

The wall never bangs back

Why would it,

Poem by Marina.

Being socially aware of trauma is an achievement on a human level basis
most people are clueless as to how trauma looks like
raising awareness on how to spot it and aid the person experiencing it is key

Posted on behalf of Marina. Powerful poem at the low end of someones life.
Strong, honest and powerful thoughts. Marina left a lot for the reader to think about. I like the strong statements and questions in the poem. Thank you Paul for sharing the powerful work.
