Of what you've written thus far, this is one of my favorites. It feels natural - like there's a moment's passion in it . . .(almost like William Carlos Williams' Red Wheelbarrow:so much dependsupona red wheelbarrowglazed with rainwaterbeside the whitechickens. My only suggestion is that you reconsider the last six words . . . I like the word "repose" but the words tranquility, serenity, and peace came across to me as kinda' repeatitive and don't seem to add any additional insight per line as another descriptive word might do (I would offer suggestions, but . . . ) . . . Does that make sense? I have already been out this morning, had the cold dew on my bare feet (chasing my puppy); I can tell that the sun's quickly heating up a sheer blue sky . . . I'm so glad that the ground is no longer frozen in the mornings, but then your little poem made me miss it a little . . . ;) Thanks for sharing.
This is a very succinct and beautiful poem. I live in snow country, almost 200" of snow here every winter and the imagery you use is perfect and sublime.
I did one little thing though. Bundled is misspelled.
Nice. My niece is named Violet, and that's the second poem I've read today with that color in it. Nice little poem. Alone doesn't always mean lonely, does it? And breathing helps me attain that peace sometimes.
This was short and sweet, I liked the line "cruch frozen earth" as it was something I thing all can relate to that weren't born in the tropics. A great read.
Sometimes i feel like an alien in a strange land..can you relate?
I love people and friends are just that to me , friends-if you request me as a friend it would be nice if you read something I have .. more..
