Questions

Questions

A Poem by Chloe..Across the Universe
"

just popped into my head out late one night looking at the sky

"

 Hello -

Hello

You have questions

Yes, I have questions -

What are your questions

Who  am I -

You don't remember

No -

How long since you forgot who you are

Not since I was born into this world -

You've forgotten,
think

I can't remember -

But you can,
think

I remember somewhat -

I knew you could if you tried and you will continue to know
as long as you keep thinking

Why am I here?
suffering is hard
it breaks the soul bends the spirit
puts you in a place you don't want to be -

Does it
It is a lesson you must learn

Always I have heard this, I don't understand the reasoning.. it seems almost cruel in a sense, strife, heartache , heartbreak, tears suffering.. death,
Why? -

This is all life is to you 'You seem to have forgotten some things some things still not remembered ..love, laughter, people, moon, stars, sky, children, animals , family, friends, heart, soul, spirit
you have it all yet you question your exsistence,  you question life

Life is not always the way we want it

No -

You know you are the master of your destiny you are the one who makes your life what it is or isn't
do you understand ?

Yes, I understand -

And is it what you want it to be

No -

You know what you must do

Yes, I know

But why all the suffering throughout mankind? -

For everything, there is an opposite this is how it has to be, love, hate, joy, sorrow, wealth, poverty, birth, death
do you understand these are life's lessons we all must learn yet
these things do not last forever
nothing is forever except love do you understand?

We have to go through hardships, trials, and tribulations to attain happiness
these things though hard will not always be, nothing is forever except love
we are the masters of our fate
we choose what path our lives will take -

I think you understand now

Do you know who you are?

Yes, I remember well who I am
thank you -

You're welcome

Who are you? -

Who do you think I am

Examine your soul for holes

it is like an internal conversation back and forth,,,,we often have the answers within ourselves but they can get buried by all the business of life. that is why writing is so therapeutic, we often find the answers that were lying within, all along. good job..... And it takes a lifetime of self discovery to find out who we are, and a willingness to take risks, no matter what age.

I love it; it is so close to perfection that I can feel it's glow. All I ask is for a tad bit more consistency on capitalization. When one being speaks within multiple lines, for the most part, the first line is caps, then the others are lower-case. I love this tactic because it keeps the reader from being confused. However, some lines deviate from this pattern; to repair that would be touching perfection. To be perfection is to stress the most important points a little further. Because of the flow of conversation, I wouldn't suggest changing space or anything too difficult. Just Emily Dickinson's favorite punctuation mark ever- the dash. The dash functions like a punch to the reader, saying "Here I am, now pay attention!" Using further punctuation would help the flow just a bit more, like a comma near 'do you understand?' to smooth out the change of thought. With those two fixes, I would absolutely tremble after reading it.

This is a unique style of poetry I've seldom if ever encountered before. The conversation is almost ambiguous of character, the twin voices blending into each other. I could picture a dual scene, one with a person asking questions of god, and another just asking them of themselves. I suppose it would just depend on your point of view in the perspective. Interesting...

Wow, now this got me reading faster and faster as I drewn down the page...... where did this come from?

I mean, the write is good, but completely random! It had me hooked from the very first sentance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You sound like you are having a conversation with yourself, and I like that.

I loved the last line, it sings.

Hugs.
