ovalized
pathetic

restless
sad
tormented
uninvolved
vexed and hexed
worried
xanaxed without
yonkered and bonkered
zapped

what goes around comes around
no one reads me anymore
as i reciprocate the same

still, i am ahead in this game
more reviews given than recieved

no one reads me anymore
so i sit collecting dust
better to burn
than rust away

Awe Chloe, I think everyone is just busy. Summertime calls! Family vacations, kids out of school, summer projects...It's definitely not because you are not an A # 1 writer, because you have been and always will be one of the TOP writers. you are so right. I can recall the distant past when people would be looking forward to reading, asking if things were wrong if nothing had been written. maybe the site has too many people? maybe now we are so divided up no-one wants to look for anything? maybe too many have got fed up and left.....and once there were people encouraging writers, where have these gone?

I know where you are coming from with this piece.
Sometimes though, our lives do need to take priority.
And if we didn't pay attention to life we wouldn't have anything to write about.
The cafe does seem to be growing at an astounding rate and it does feel easy to get lost or overwhelmed amongst all the writing now. I know I don't get as many reads as I used to, although I do try and stay active on here - that suggests that a lot of people only review to return a favour rather than because they want to. But then again, with life, things can become demanding.
Nicely said. I hope your life finds balance again soon.

I think we all get busy with life,
overwhelmed with demands,
and this is yet another demand no
matter how much we enjoy it!

It seems the more the cafe grows,
the less reading is going on...
without sending a read request that is.
And even then, it's awhile
sometimes.
I know I have read requests
that have been sitting there
for quite a spell,
that I just can't seem to reach. :(
