I loved the piece - especially because the two times that I read it - I came out with two very different interpretations and undercurrent of emotions conveyed: the apparent enlightenment, and an undercurrent of silent resignation. Great work!
I love the last line because it sums up this piece beautifully.
Bewitching.
The ever loving dark, it was loathe to set me free.
This is haunting, passionate, rich... dark.
It's a complete feast for me. I soaked up every word, tasted every emotion.
Wonderfully done.
Great poem. Very similar to one I have been sketching out for a while now about chasing darkness through the trees etc. ha! will have to alter mine now......I like the idea of being hollow inside. Have a song by the Buzzcocks called 'Hollow Inside'. It's so different from all their other love punk songs - which I guess is why you will have never heard it!
I've been putting first lines to last lines of poems recently to see if they have a concise thought pattern.....
'Cover me hold me'
'Bewitch me'
Yes, yours certainly works and leaves me intrigued by the mood that follows.
personal s**t here. i really like the idea of being "hollow." never thought to word it like that. you have a great way of describing concepts like these.
This is a beautiful piece that I can really relate to. I spend much of my time in the darkness, holding it close like a fond lover or best friend. I really enjoyed reading this. Bravo!
Sometimes those dark times can seem beautiful when we regard them as an old familiar feeling and friend. Great poem expressing this and so many other emotions!
Wonderful poem, so honest, but you capture the "whirlpool" of darkness: its warmth and mellowing capacity with its stark, scary nature. I really appreciate this poem.
Sometimes i feel like an alien in a strange land..can you relate?
I love people and friends are just that to me , friends-if you request me as a friend it would be nice if you read something I have .. more..
