I dreamed you in a dream
one Summer night
you wrapped your arms around me
made a dying rose bloom

I heard you in the wind
you said my name
made it your own
sweetest song I ever heard

I saw your face in a cloud
on a Winter's day
perfect and strong
turning gray skies blue

I felt your lips on mine
I picked the loveliest rose from the vine
pressed it to my lips
tasted sweet as wine

I know you

Though I never met you
you're no stranger to me
I dreamed you long long ago

I really liked lines 7-10. It's so true, how someone can say more than just your name by saying it. The inflection and the body language someone can put into anything they say, especially your name...It's so powerful. It's one of those tiny things about love that makes everything so worth it--even if it's over, that person said my name that certain way, and that can never change.

And how you "knew" the person before you ever met him (if you even have yet): What a great way to express how love is an idea that is greater than the lovers. It's something that is pure, if not perfect. It's almost as if it exists regardless or whether we do or not.
