Today it snowed .. only a few flakes for us but snow nonetheless.. As i watched those few flakes falling i thought about what is said of snowflakes.. no two are alike. I wondered how someone knew this ?
Did someone gather every snowflake that has fallen from here to Timbuktu and all points in between?
Did they check them out ,, it would have to be a quick check up as they melt as quickly as butter on a hot potato.. and Dan Quaile could not spell potato and i may have spelled his last name wrong .. back to the snowflake.... so if no two are alike as is said then they their are a lot like people. No two or greater than two I have met are anything alike ...even family. It is good to be different and yourself unlike anyone on Earth or off.. so .. the snow lasted for only a few minutes and then went away.. into the Earth.
So then I thought about death and how most people are buried in the Earth, I capitalize Earth because I consdier her to be worthy. So into the ground you go and i guess you would help the flowers grow and the soil rich .. and rich people probably are buried in a mauseoleum.. spelled wrong most likely ..Quaill?
Either way, below, in a maseoluem or creamated and scattered your life in over .. Did you fulfill your dreams? Find the love of a life time? Bungee jump? Dance naked under a pale moon??
The moon is also worthy of a capital M . Moon .. M-O-O-N.. that spells Moon.. from The Stand by Mr. King ,, the superflu gets most of humankind and those left dream of .. Mother Maybelle or The Dark Man .. I think he was called.. Good and evil in other words. Some dream of the good some of the evil and the good one's go to Mother's , the bad's to The Dark One... There is a showdown and Good beats Evil... so ..life
None of us are alike ,, we all die and we may all be involved in a showdown where good vs. evil.. and which will win? Who's side are you on?
Be unique, live life to the fullest and take a stand ... united we stand together , opps that's divided we fall..or could go either way..
Kiss someone goodnight now .. peace, love and may you all have snowy dreams ...but as always, to each his/her own..
Stream of consciousness ... joined a group for this type of writing ... hope it doesn't make anyone barffish!
Barffish is a made up word i think.. so is another one i like .. 'spippery'.. We all felt spippery... meaning so good and so mmm....
oh, and i love you all ..goodnight

Most of my writing is stream of consciousness... Kerouac is an icon of mine. This is inspirational. BTW, it is Dan Quayle... I live in Indiana. His family are Indianapolis muckety mucks. LOL Anyway, many cheers. You took your thoughts where they wanted to go... to purity and truth. Brava.
Wow! It's like stepping inside your mind. A beautiful.... though quickly changing... mind. Yes snowflakes are a wonder. There is a wonderful book at the bookstore, I almost bought with just pictures of snowflakes, showing just how different the crystals can be. I've tried stream of consciousness writing and it's very hard for me. I want so badly to go back and cut and edit. You might be interested in reading my Take Me back to Kerouac... he wrote a lot in stream of consciousness, believing "the first thought is the best thought". Here's one of the thousands I've written that are not on the Cafe.
glorious glittering
sparkling snow
diamonds drift
languorously, lazily
to the clean
wholesome white earth.
cool air caresses warm sun rays
on bare head and neck.
bare branched woods
line my snow field,
glisten everywhere
with delicate ice prisms
to frame the moment,
to en-capsule the scene.
I stand with arms outstretched,
happy heart swollen,
toward the sun
to feel,
to memorize,
to love.
two season symbols,
warm sun and cloaking snow,
unite their best artistic efforts
to create a joyous moment
an unmatched
downward floating art work
on the last day of the year.
For one beautiful moment,
alone.
all is well and right with the earth.
I do notice that you capitalize your name... I'm glad because this means you also know you are worthy.

Even though I often use various forms for my work, most of it is stream of consciousness...I just tell myself to write and I do and I have no idea where I'm going and I like it that way. Then I go back and revise and edit...if it's needed. etc. I like when you write like this Chloe and I like this piece. I love the humor about Quaile, Quaill and potato...the little tongue in cheek comments about your spelling. Funny. I also like the idea about the snow and how anyone could know they are each different. I think it's a theory since as you say - how could be proven? It can't.
I also love what you say about the Earth and death. For me when we die we return to the Earth. We don't become angels and we don't burn forever. We just to sleep and rest in the Earth.
Interesting thoughts on snow flakes and how people are so different. Poor Dan, he will always be remembered for an error instead of any good he did. lol. You raise some great issues here to think on. It's nice to be reminded of snow since there is none here in Florida. I think the closest I got was being a snow flake for Halloween one year. lol. It was a fun costume! I love snow flakes and....I just thought of Nicholas Cage in the movie, "Moonstruck" when he looks at the snowflakes and remarks how none are perfect and we are not perfect! This world would be so boring if we were all the same. Good writing!
This is lovely - the line `snowy dreams' is especially beautiful, and the sentiment is so clear and tangible. I once wrote about snowflakes, but it wasn't as good as this. e {{{}}}
