Having, being, feeling lost I came across SaM'S -a or the sign seemed a bit like me- Fallen from the ages of a crumbling building The sign was mangled and completely B R O K E N SaM'S With a letter missing the second to be E X A C T an - "A" No longer did this sign shine down in Neon glory inviting and welcoming Lost souls that were a bit mangled, Crumbled from ages with a missing letter
How strange this sign and I had so much in common An inanimate object And a semi- inanimate human
I bet , I just bet you were something wonderful, Beautiful, inviting and enticing in your glory days SAM"S I bet you could, did bring the house down Back then- SAM"S
Now you lie here in a dirty alleyway Alone and broken dreaming of " when"
Funny how much you and I have in common SAM"S I said as I hung you upon my wall ... Humming along with The Boss - "Glory day's, yeah they'll pass you by "...
imaginative objectification ... as to that of a broken sign, discarded and left to decay in an alley, missing pieces as to a burned out bulb. i don't see the fatigue of aging so much as a spirit fractured by life's harrowing assaults. i love that she cares for her broken self enough to rescue the remains and give them a place of honor, a restful, respectful place within which to heal. beautiful pain, chloe. well done.
well, it seems as if both "SaMs" and you are making a comeback in grand fashion, or, if you will Royale alamode. such a good write here, full of persomification and wonderful imagery. my hot list...

A perfect example of being lonely on the top, or lost and falliet as we and the frensh say (bankruptcy) in your language with all....
This was beautiful dear Chloe, what I adored was the wink you wrote it with, sarcastic, yet provoking, but still with a Chloe touch, and that's so unique.
You hit the nail on the head, with the simple fact of a situation that often happens, in real life, and how men on top can be morons in the end, dwelling in self-pity, (my point of view) maybe you intended a whole other thing, but that makes it interesting here.... glory is temporary, as the opposite always know 7 years... and then it returns... lovely done!
ha ha ha...I smiled at your humor in this poem. A bit melodic...but a very good analogy. When we are young...we are the shiny new NEON signs that every male wants to plug into. lol...sorry, but then we age...become boring and complacent. The bulb needs to be changed...hoping someday someone will put a little tlc into fixing us up...and let us shine brightly again. :D
Sometimes i feel like an alien in a strange land..can you relate?
I love people and friends are just that to me , friends-if you request me as a friend it would be nice if you read something I have .. more..
