Descending Memories

Descending Memories

A Poem by Patricia Posada
"

This is how I've been feeling lately. Period.

"

The past descends

Outstretching its talons

A great scavenge about to take place

...Closing my eyes...

An aura so great, so compelling

Searching the back roads of my mind...

...To see you lying next to me

A smile spread across your face

I feel something well up inside of me

And suddenly...

There is no threat.

There is no grasping angst.

What was once vile is now forgotten

And I embrace my love

So pure, yet so scarred.
