Imagining

Imagining

A Poem by Steel Magnolia

Imagining

Did I know you before today

your eyes

are familiar to me.

And there’s a touch

that lingers on my skin.

Is it my imagining.

Have these lips

caressed your face.

Have these arms

felt your embrace,

wrapped in one understanding.

Did I know you before today,

your glance

leaves me wondering.

It’s in your smile,

something left unsaid.

A touch that lingers on my skin

Or is it my imagining.

This poem reminds me of the song I just haven’t met you yet. It seems here that all your imaginings have landed. What a lovely situation to find yourself in. A lovely poem. Thank you.

Ahh yes, I believe you refer to a Michael Bublé song.
Thank you for thoughts Chris.

Yes, what a song and what a singer.
Funny how some people can affect us like this. I have met a few in the past that I feel I have already met before and know intimately. At least it felt that way. This was nice. I enjoyed reading it tonight

I'm not sure what it means when you can't remember them. Either you were really social or you're getting old.
