The Colour Of Dusk

The Colour Of Dusk

A Poem by Patrick Schultz

In the eyes of the setting sun

You were as regal

As the final rays clutching the last of the day

Encapsulating the ever expansive sky

With colours the daughters of men

Dream to weep in

When their fathers shall lead them

Away from their bosom

And into the folds of the one

Who shall pray for the Sun

To be as glorious as the

Colour of the day their eyes

Fell prisoner to the image

Called You
