Savior;A Poem by PatchesThe Knight and his Princess/He beheld her, imprisoned within a monstrous edifice; golden locks cascading fluidly over the bleak stone surface. One day, the knight would liberate her she knew; believing in his serenades and promises of sacrifice. All of which the Knight spoke suave and untrue. Days brimming with longing and anticipation, golden strings littered the floor in frustration. Despair dawned heavily upon her heart, while he despaired not, occupied with women and gin. He knew they were destined to forever be apart. Though the knight may seem so he wasn't heartless, only trounced greater than words could express. Varnish coated armor, his heart akin, weathered and tarnished.
