Can't Leave Won't LeaveA Poem by PatrickPinkI've realised recently that when I enjoy someone's company I really struggle to call it a nightConsidering how many places I have left I really struggle leaving In any meaningful way Beyond running when the air Gets too close and each corner becomes Unbearably familiar I can untangle myself from Cities, counties, countries But company Keeps me rooted in place I just never want the lights to go down To be the first one to say No more. I need some Space to be Myself in So I linger Algae crammed in a fish tank Corner Until The Last Possible Moment
