Connemara as I saw herA Poem by PatrickPinkTired of posting so much sad boi s**t. Here's something a bit more positive
Green
Are the hills That called me over the ocean And wild The valleys That divide them Stalwart connifers Stand defiant Against the ravaging winds That lay bare The bones Of the mountains The streams are many And merry Laughing under the carress Of frequent Gentle rainfall That sustains them The crags hold fast Shine bright when the Sunlight catches them right Or brood, old Faces under Low moody clouds The very air is clear Tangible translucence That warms every view Paints the fjord blue Cerulean ripples Warp the pristine reflection Of the people who come here People who love the earth The turf between their fingers Who relish the defiant Who meet the lands challenge "Know me, if you dare." © 2019 PatrickPinkReviews
