Encounters with MythsA Poem by PatrickPinkSome people that you meet manage to make a huge impact on your life and attitude in a small window of time. This poem is about one of those one-in-seven-billion individuals
The distance between us is measurable,
A fingers width between two pinpoints That dance across the globe, And like the end of any good celebration, The music has ended too soon And I don't want the party to end. But I made too many guarantees to too many friends, So i'll try and thread the needle of my promises to stitch A satisfactory design Remembering, after all That we both have to leave. When I started writing this, I already knew how it would end But the best stories are always told with a sense of finality Of closure. Whenever two lines meet
It can only be for an instant A snapshot of smiling faces before they split And carry on alone. But i'm glad the snapshot was here. I'm glad it was now. And i'm glad it was you. © 2018 PatrickPinkReviews
