Angel in Passing

Angel in Passing

A Poem by P.M. Fox

I will always remember
The last words she said
Sit down and hold my hand
I did and I kissed her head.

All I wanted was
For her to stay
To promise me that
She will live everyday.

But as she closed her eyes
Her body went stiff and cold
And I knew then that
I had lost her heart of gold

I know this world will suffer
As much as I
Because she has gone
To live above the beautiful sky.
