You Looked

In America there are hundreds, perhaps thousands, of TV commercials being offered. But there is one that may say it all for the consumers and the hard working sellers of this junk apparatus stuff.

The whole spot starts with a very small and young boy. He may be 6 but I bet he talks like he’s 20. As the music builds he clips away at the dolls in front of him. Like he’s giving them a haircut in the movies and the green fur is flying. Now in the old days this could have earned him a proper beating (and perhaps his brother.) But this is the 2000’s so we would call that “child abuse” and he and his brother are safe.

Flash to another scene and the dolls have been replaced by his even smaller sister. She is smiling like her 401K is in suckers. While he is about to turn her head into a bowling ball.

Flash to the Mother of these two. She has the look of horror, fear, and revolt all rolled into one. But no whips are drawn. And the music is still building.

Then instead of saving the little girl she surprises the TV viewing public with a brand new Swiffer! And begins to clean at will.

Now if this commercial were taken to its conclusion the little girl is now a bald lump laying somewhere in the corner. But the floors are clean.

OH WAIT! I almost forgot. The mother does all this class A cleaning in high heels. The preferred cleaning garment.
