It appears that the Snowcaps are Ardent Lovers pretending to be laid back and Demure...

Costa Rica is known for Romantic Rendezvous 

where Hummingbirds are found in the Mountains and 

on every Level where the females Nest and protect 

the flowers that have Nectar for the Lovers... 

The males sing soft rambling songs to attract females 

with their Snow White feathered Tails... they have 

Irresistible Charm...

Yes, most of the Caribbean region is very blessed with hummingbirds as they are "bird of peace" in our country, and a special species.
I love them, when I was a newborn, my mom told me one had circled around me and somehow they still do flying around me out of nowhere. A blessing, thanks for sharing such nice poem...
