When Sunsets Rest on the Breast of Humanity

When Sunsets Rest on the Breast of Humanity

A Poem by Patricia Wedel

Prayers fold their Wings and sigh silently...

as Apricot and Golden shades become a Curtain

that closes and becomes Embers of Deeds and Creeds...

The Evening Star keeps Vigil as Eagles nest in Reverence

for Mankind on Clouds of Destiny where Countries compose

the Music of the Night that inspires the Rising of the Sun...

beautiful words and colors as usual Pat, and a lovely time to pray for peace in this chaotic world....that evening star watches over us and all the creatures you mention in a very serene poem...those songbirds of night inspire the dawn to embrace all of us....

Beautiful and serene. I really like the imagery you use to illustrate twilight's transition and the rising of dawn. Nice use of colours

Your words have a soothing effect. A beautiful allegory. It is a kind of poetry that I'd like to read silently at me time!

Whoeeee! A most majestic declaration of humanity and its travails, its hopes and aspirations. You are inspiring us to be better, to embrace reverence for innocent lives lost, to soar like Eagles.
Thank you for raising your voice.

Lovely poem Pat but I do think man has more of a Move over approach. Has man lost his humanity I wonder.

Sunrise is full of promise for the new day. We need new days with new thinking Sadly peace is far from the minds of a few, who make hell on earth for many. Hoping for miracles dear Pat. Thank you for your poetic soul.
