November Dreams

November Dreams

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

When Heaven moves in mysterious Clouds that form our Journey... when we become Artists of the Sky with Angel Wings to fly over Fields of Heather where Fairies dance... and pray for Romance..

"
Sleepy Owls and howling Wolves are harbingers of Snowy nights
when the Moon peeks over the twinkling Stars.

The Midnight Charm of Venus empowers Lovers to
become Dragons of the Knight of Golden Light.

Dear Pat, the cold snowy nights of winter with creatures hungry for food , may be incredibly beautiful in there imagery, but give me the promise of spring when the daffodils will trumpet and bluebells will ring in green glades. Then, I will come out of hibernation. Thank you always for the gift of your poetry.

Dear Pat,
Your words drip magic. As if the universe and all its creatures were created for love and lovers dance in its Golden Light. Your imagery is as powerful as its breathtaking. I love your poetry.

A descriptive poem set out in four lines that paint a picture of winter's discontent and the power of keeping the light of another spring/summer in mind in order to survive.

A lovely write as ever Patricia, with a touch of sadness to me too, through no fault of yours I might add.
We lost an entire family of owls during lockdown, through bird flu apparently, when our regular night time visitors stopped swooping their majestic white shapes that always caught your attention, when they were all found in the morning at the bottom of the tree they called home for many years.
Now there place has been taken by a family of magpies and they have certainly brought the tone of the neighbourhood down with their constant squawking at all hours of the day and night.
The owls were much better neighbours and their twit twoo's are sadly missed.
