I went back to an age of my dreams. When carriages were horse-drawn. The evenings brought light from the glow of lanterns and the gardens were so elaborate and beautiful. Those times still exist somewhere, I'm sure. Thank you for this beautiful poem, dear Pat.

dear Em.. When Senator John Warner married Elizabeth Taylor some years ago, we visited a Pub close to their Home in Middleburg, Virginia. Elizabeth may not have been so bored when John was at the Senate in our Capitol so much of the Time... if she only had been fortunate to meet the thereof us at the Pub for a Hot Rum Toddy while was Snowing over the Fields where they lived. There was a Hotel near by. Missed opportunities the Poets do not have a Congressional Badge and Agenda. I "Rest" my Case. softly, Pat

dearest Em... My Father's family were born in Hungary... My grandfather Bill was a Cobbler, as well as his oldest Son and my Father... they came to America via The Statue of Liberty... and set up Shoe Shops in West Virginia, USA where I was born. I later grew up in Maryland, USA. My Mother played Blue Danube Waltz's and a Yellow Canary sang along. When our World settles ... whereby Culture will be a Vocation of Art and Poetry, as well as Symphonies... then we can Travel and meet along the Blue Danube.
