I went back to an age of my dreams. When carriages were horse-drawn. The evenings brought light from the glow of lanterns and the gardens were so elaborate and beautiful. Those times still exist somewhere, I'm sure. Thank you for this beautiful poem, dear Pat.

I simply cannot believe September is in its last week. It's been a while since I heard my mourning doves, but I keep hearing a distant train in the night that lulls me to sleep like a baby. My son Robert's birthday was and is September 24... he is 53 years old. There must be a September song.
