Autumn Woodpeckers adorned with Red Caps play a Reverie of Taps

Autumn Woodpeckers adorned with Red Caps play a Reverie of Taps

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

The Wind plays softly through the golden magenta Leaves...

"
A Harp plays gently in the Breeze as

Trees sway with Haunting Overtures of

Mendelssohn. -  Violin Concerto in E Minor, Op.64...

flutes, oboes, clarinets, bassoons, horns, trumpets,

timpani, and strings... and the flutter of Angel wings...

The World will orchestrate the Oceans and the Skies as

Wise Men and Socrates advised...

An Omen of Goodwill as Prophesies foretell...

Amen

As a child, my parents exposed me to all types of music and I took violin, and piano (neither or which I mastered to any great degree) But music of all sorts has been my constant companion and comfort. I love how you have meshed it with nature. I believe that nature itself is nothing more than a grand music.

I love that the woodpeckers stay all year around here in Illinois, and they lead the band in the winter months as all the other birds pretty much leave or are very quiet but not the woodpeckers. Very beautiful write.

Those autumn woodpeckers are arriving early in your neck of the woods. We are still languishing in the throes of August heat here in mid September. We are looking forward to October and perhaps some cooler temps. The birds rouse me every morning wanting their seed and a squirrel tried to climb in my kitchen window (presumably trying to refill the birdfeeder) I just observe and love the little critters. An enjoyable read. F.

Nicely done Pat, as usual
Our woodpeckers are also tapping out their melodies along with the Stellar Jays that have come to join in with a moonlight sonata
the Towhees and Chickadees also each add a note or two as they all serenade into the bright colors of autumn

Thankfully thanks to you, I really love the way you say your daughter who resembles parents and family, long peak nose, round eyes, long lips. Chubby cheeks, fair color, long hands. More or like she is just like angel who took so much time to arrive only for her parents who were like struggling to keep the silence out of their world.
I just made it as my dp, is it ok?? Any copy rights of the pic? I am ready to pay anytime anything.

As a classical music lover, I liked the way you worked the music of Mendelssohn in with the scenes of nature. Also liked the nod to Socrates.

Nature certainly makes the most harmonious music... you certainly captured the feel of sitting outside and listening to the world move.
