Rain for Forlorn Lovers

Rain for Forlorn Lovers

A Poem by Patricia Wedel

On a Hot Dry Day

All the Petals were drooping

When the Rain Came by...

A Cloud Burst appeared

Blue Birds sang "Misty"

A Song sung by Johnny Mathias...

I get Misty just thinking of You ...

Rain is wonderful when it arrives after a period of sustained dryness. It weaves its magic spell and replenishes everything anew. It is no surprise that even the Bluebirds rejoice in its arrival and burst into song. Misty is a lovely song for them to sing, too.

I've no doubt those petals revived anew when the rains came and rejoiced along with the Bue Birds gliding down on the misty notes. Peaceful and hearing Johnny bringing it.

It’s that song again. And beautiful it is too. It sounds as though you have hot weather Pat.Those drooping flowers need a drink. Rainfall is welcome, but not too much. We have had a couple of bursts of excessive rain. Too much for the gutters. Came through the bathroom ceiling. A mild inconvenience to what some in the world have to endure. Have a wonderful new week.
