Your poem was simply beautiful! I loved the way you described the peaceful evening scene by the river with such vivid and evocative language. It was like I could hear the birds singing and feel the cool breeze on my face. Your words really captured the beauty and tranquility of nature.

Dear Pat,
Nature has such a mesmerizing music to it. Every element you describe has captured my spirit and imagination. It's as if an eternal poet sings in you. It's a pleasure to read this poem again and again.

Yes… Fredericksburg, Virginia has the Rappahannock River flowing through our City and miles beyond. Our first President George Washington grew up and certainly fished on the Banks of our River. In fact, we can take a Tour of his boyhood Home… as reconstructed. Old trees Grace the lawns of many homes… we can also tour the home of Mary Washington.. the Mother of George. I am mighty thankful for your Review. gently, Pat

You are so kind and always sublime.. Peonies smile...
A poem of serenity and beauty Pat. I love that the meadow lark sings Debussy. In six lines you have created heaven. Sending love across the waves.

I can see it all now as I sip my morning brew!
You having (eventually!!) settled upon the branch of a Red Maple, alongside the Rappahannock River with fall's sunlight enhancing the deep red of the leaves all round you, even further enhancing your soft golden feathers.
These are indeed rare moments meant to be treasured by we mere mortals!!
(Do you think that whomever it was named that particular river, was to end up with a headache)
Whichever,
Happy hoots of heavenly Hallelujahs 2U2

I like the sound of their language and their love of Nature... known how to Survive. Now we have relied too much on electricity.... when it would be lovely and not so costly to live within our means with Nature and yet we could build Shelters and heat with fire and coal-- especially with all the Immigrants being given free everything and we are totally not prepared. God help us all. Amen,,, Pat
I love living in Virginia with you, being a part of the inspiration that always sparks within your poems. This is beautiful!

My Mother had about ten or so Strauss Waltz's that she played on long-playing records on an Old wooden Antique Music Box. We had a yellow Canary that sang along with the Music.
The Moonbeams are praying for Peace and Love. Many prayers are answered eventually. The Moon is Eternity with Hope and Passion. I usually check the Moon's phase every night up high from our second floor Guest Room Window-- unless we have a Guest that night. gently, Pat
