Meadow Lark Songs

Meadow Lark Songs

A Poem by Patricia Wedel

As I walk beside the Rappahannock River

I hear the Meadow Lark singing Debussy.

in Soprano scales of Even Tide...

The Owls are snuggled on the Pine branches

where Moonbeams gather for evening prayers

The Fish have gone Upsteam to Dream...

Your poem was simply beautiful! I loved the way you described the peaceful evening scene by the river with such vivid and evocative language. It was like I could hear the birds singing and feel the cool breeze on my face. Your words really captured the beauty and tranquility of nature.

Good morning Pat,
The thoughts in your words creates inspiration in me to take time and enjoy the day even more than I already do.
You are so creative in the way you tell your stories.

Each and all your poems have a newness, no matter they inevitably touch on Nature but., because you share the smallest or most familiar with others and inspire them to look yet again You magic more into the mind and understanding, dear lady. You pick out small facets and create beautiful visions, dear Pat
