On the Winds of Tomorrow

On the Winds of Tomorrow

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

An American Goldfinch in breeding plumage rests upon a crabapple branch... She surveys the Red Fox below knowing that the World is full of uncertainties... Perhaps the Fox will be her Ally when

"
Once upon a Dream... I aspired  to be a Rainbow of possibilities
where Clouds are gathered in friendly persuasion...

I flew with the Seagulls and landed in fields of Lavender...

Prayers ascended for all the people young and old to be

safe in the Winds of tomorrow...

This was beautiful. I enjoyed the read. I've never seen fields of lavender but they sound gorgeous. I have seen fields of buttercups, wildflowers, cornflowers, sunflowers and daisies but never lavender. I like the color. My mother had a lilac bush in her backyard that was a lovely lavender color. And the scent was heavenly, like sweet clean soap and mild perfume.

A beautiful prayer in a world full of uncertainty and such peril. A heart filled with wishes for the well being and safety of all the young and vulnerable, now and in the future. Very beautiful words to read, dear Pat. I said a prayer in my heart.
