On the Winds of Tomorrow

On the Winds of Tomorrow

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

An American Goldfinch in breeding plumage rests upon a crabapple branch... She surveys the Red Fox below knowing that the World is full of uncertainties... Perhaps the Fox will be her Ally when

"
Once upon a Dream... I aspired  to be a Rainbow of possibilities
where Clouds are gathered in friendly persuasion...

I flew with the Seagulls and landed in fields of Lavender...

Prayers ascended for all the people young and old to be

safe in the Winds of tomorrow...

This was beautiful. I enjoyed the read. I've never seen fields of lavender but they sound gorgeous. I have seen fields of buttercups, wildflowers, cornflowers, sunflowers and daisies but never lavender. I like the color. My mother had a lilac bush in her backyard that was a lovely lavender color. And the scent was heavenly, like sweet clean soap and mild perfume.

a rainbow full of possibilities is a wonderful thought
This year we have had a very early, warm Spring which has had all our blossoms fully performing their rainbow requirements.
Wisteria narrowly beat out lilacs, irises, azalai, rhodos and now it is mock orange's turn which is currently flooding our area with its scent.
As the year progress along your rainbow, the wild berries will begin to appear; salmonberries, huckleberries, wild blue and strawberries and the ollallies (blackberries) which the great Tyee served at the potlatch of peace which had his daughters (The two sisters) forever situated side by side on the Capilano coast's mountaintop (now referred to as 'The Lions')
Is there a nicer time than the enthusiasm of Spring
You have me getting all nostalgic here Pat
Best to both of you

Awww, hellos, Patricia Wedel,
I find it a tranquility for your words,
the seagull, the clouds,
and the hope to be within those cataguess,
love it, hon, ----1809 Black Plague December

This is a dream I could happily stay in forever. If only all the people young and old be safe in the winds of tomorrow.

In an upside down and often cruel world I would say Amen to your prayer, Pat. Peace on earth, what a beautiful thought.

Sending love across the pond to you and yours. Hoping dear Pat you are both coping with your health issues.
